London: Thomas Kelly, 17, Paternoster Row, [1840s?]. 1840 Landscape format 24 x15 cms. [2], 120 p. 119 litho plates. The plates are numbered to CXX but there is no plate XLV or associated text, nor any gap in pagination. Contemporary half calf with marbled boards. Neatly rebacked, the spine with raised bands and a contrasting label. Endpapers renewed. Evidence of use but still a pleasant copy in very useable condition. Dated from the colophon at the foot of p.120 'Printed by J. Rider 14, St. Bartholomew's Close, London'. John Rider II printed from this address from 1835 until his death in 1849. (Bigmore & Wyman Bibliography of Printing, II, 258). Untraced in library catalogues.
