This is a Very Good + Copy of this book in Publisher's red cloth with bright gilt title lettering to spine and with gilt elephant's head motif to the upper cover.No Dust-Jacket.This copy has one previous owner's neat inscription present to the front free endpaper.There is just a touch of light rubbing present to the base of spine,with no Fading to spine of the book.Internally the book is clean with just a few small foxing spots to the front pastedown and with only very light spotting to the fore-edge of the book.Top edge of the book is in gilt.This copy has a nice firm binding with no hinge weakness.It's a nice tight square copy for the collector with no turned corners to the pages.This is the 1st Issue of the First Edition with single advertising leaf at the back of the book.Black and white frontispiece still has it's tissue guard.Certainly the condition of this copy is a lot better than you would normally expect to find.8vo 413pp First UK Edition 1st Impression [1901] .
