A collection of short stories with this from the rear cover: “George Garrett writes of war and politics, fathers and sons, lovers and liars...in stories that reverberate”. From the library of Garrett’s publisher Dr. Kurt Enoch (1895-1982) who was a noted German publisher, forced to flee the Nazis, landing in New York in 1940. In 1948, Dr. Enoch co-founded and became President of New American Library - Signet Books which became one of the successful and acclaimed post-war publishing houses.
