A chronicle of man's assault on the earth's highest mountain, narrated by the participants, and with an accompanying text by James Ramsey Ullman. Illustrated with photographs and maps, 411 pages. Black cloth binding, gilt titles on spine, deckle fore-edge, orange topstain. Former owner's name and date neatly written on front endpaper. Dust jacket front flap price clipped with a new price of $5.00, rear dj flap lower corner clipped, spine slightly faded, just a hint of wear at edges, small chip at head of spine. Suprisingly well preserved copy, dust jacket in a new mylar sleeve.
