Synopsis

Should you be a romantic soul, should you weep at beautiful music, should you enjoy deep draughts of wine, you will appreciate the world of Terre D'Ange.Phedre is a bit of a "Mary Sue," but it's easy to forgive her and roll with the lush and vivid tale of her early life and the many steps that make her an unlikely heroine. There is plenty of political intrigue as well as rather dark, sexy scenes - what else, when the main character is a courtesan who feels pleasure in pain?"It's funny, how one can look back on a sorrow one thought one might well die of at the time, and know that one had not yet reckoned the tenth part of true grief."
