Copper engraving, 21.5 x 28 cm, inset of Algeria  (in continuation of the map west), original hand colour, very light ofsetting of the red in lower part of the map, blank verso. First published in 1748, this edition of Le Rouge’s map was reissued under the imprint of Jean Baptiste Crépy (fl. 1753-1790), scion of a modest publishing dynasty, who was also known as Crépy le jeune.
