London, Edinburgh; and New York: T. Nelson and Sons, 1877. William (McClure) Thomson (1806-1894) "Thirty Years Missionary in Syria and Palestine." His popular history was originally published in 1859. This is a Very Good (Minus) copy of an unknown edition, in a leather decorative Victorian binding. Dark blue , stamped with gilt, and the logo of a religious college. The text is clean; 718 pages, with various indices. Paste-downs and edges are marbled. Fancy gilt spine with a red label, rubbed at the margins This is an attractive volume, and an important ethnological resource. However, the spine cover has separated; although present, it will require reglueing before the volume can be called sound. Please note this condition issue; Quercus must offer this as a Binding Copy, in need of repair or restoration. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. First Thus.. Full-Leather. Good Plus/No Jacket.
