Two volumes. xxviii, 338; viii, 319, (1) pp. Contemporary brown full calf, spine with raised bands, gilt lettered red labels, blindstamped decoration to the panels and an ornate border to the boards, marbled endpapers, prize bookplates from the Royal Masonic Institution for Boys to the front pastedowns, all edges red. 6 colour and 10 black and white plates plus a folding colour map, further illustrations set into the text. A very attractive set. Penzer, pp. 96-97.
