New York: Henry Holt and Company, 1942. First edition. Hardcover. Very Good+ in Very Good dust jacket. 21 x 14.5 cm. 260pp, 18pp.Brown cloth in dust jacket. Jacket art by Boris Artzybasheff. A shorter version was originally published in Unknown Worlds in October, 1941, this is the first book edition with no additional printings noted. Corners lightly bumped, fading to spine on both cloth and jacket. All four flaps of jacket are clipped, original price of $2.50 remains present. Light chipping to edges of jacket.
Synopsis
Land of Unreason is a fantasy novel written by Fletcher Pratt and L. Sprague de Camp. It was first published in the fantasy magazine Unknown Worlds for October, 1941. Revised and expanded, it was first published in book form by Henry Holt and Company in 1942. It has been reprinted numerous times since by various publishers, most notably by Ballantine Books in January 1970 as the tenth volume of the Ballantine Adult Fantasy series. It has also been translated into Italian.
