London: Charles Knight [circa 1850s]. (Hardcover set) 368, 356, 380, 364pp. Very good, no dust jacket. 3 / 4 leather over marbled boards, leather spine labels and gilt decoration. Marbled endpapers and edges, over 400 illustrations on plates and in the text, maps (including some fold-outs). Some offsetting from the steel engravings to the opposite page, and some wear to the extremities. Locale: British Empire. (History--England, Description and Travel--England).
