A tight, clean, sound copy in dark gray paper covered boards quarter bound in purple cloth with gold lettering and a graphic on the spine with very minor overall shelf wear plus there are the usual library stamps, label, and pocket on the top outside paper edges, title page, and back endpaper plus the dust jacket endflaps are glued to the inside surfaces of the boards. The dust jacket shows no visible signs of wear plus the endflaps are glued down to the inside aurfaces of the boards plus it is still in the original library mylar sleeve. Two novellas of desire in dangerous times. "The Last of Deeds" is narrated by a Catholic boy who is dealing with his love for a Protestant girl. "Love in History" is set at an American air force base in Ireland during World War II and examines the glamour of a "good war" with its swaggering pilots, the women who wait for them, and the triumph of one nation occupying another.
