Inscribed on the flyleaf: "to Uncle Guy "with best wishes "for a happy Birthday "and much love "from Harold." Guy Mitchell was the brother of Harold's mother, Hortense (Mitchell) Acton. Guy was the proprietor of Villa Giullarino, which faced his sister's famous Villa Pietra in Florence, home of Sir Harold, which he bequeathed to New York University.
