Santa Fe, NM: Sunstone Press, 1974. Book. Near fine condition. Hardcover. Signed by Author(s). New Edition. Octavo (8vo). xiv, 302 pages, followd by 19 pages containing an Epilogue and an index. Tan linen hardcover binding appears to be hand-bound, and has a red silk ribbon affixed to the front cover upon which is stamped in gilt "Lawrence and Brett." Number 83 of 300 copies, signed by Dorothy Brett and John Manchester on a bookplate affixed to the front endpaper. Contains a total of 32 illustrations, 28 of which are tipped-in, some of which are in color. Includes an additional red silk ribbon upon which is stamped in gilt "Lawrence and Brett" which has slightly discolored the surrounding pages. The text is otherwise clean and unmarked. Includes a 8-page exhibition catalogue titled "The Brett. Fifty Years of Painting in New Mexico 1924-1974" published by Jamison Galleries of Santa Fe in conjunction with Manchester Galleries of Taos. The front paste-own endpaper is slightly toned from offsetting from two newsprint articles related to Brett's death in 1977. The unclipped dustjacket is heavily worn, with creases, tears and discoloration; protected in archival mylar. New edition..
