True first edition, taller than book club and with Rinehart "R" in circle on copyright page. Flaps of DJ and rear panel taped to front endpapers; newspaper reviews laid in loosely; 9 cent postcard from Sward to another psychologist, signed, laid in loosely; offprint of his article in The American Psychologist, 1950, laid in loosely. The book is an example of psychological analysis of economic behavior. The first edition is unaccountably scarce.
