When the rescue call went out SSG Benavidez was on the 240th Assault Helicopter to assist and orchestrate a defense saving the troops. Benavidez was baynoeted, shot, and hit with grenade shrapnel yet kept fighting. Based on new records and interviews the author has created a riveting narrative of the events of that day and of his life and career. He was later honored with the Medal of Honor for his actions that day. A clean very presentable copy.
