About This Item
London: W. H. Allen, 1976. First edition. 8vo, 182pp. Blue cloth boards lettered in gilt, illustrated dust jacket by Rodney Matthews. Interior illustrations by Jill Riches. Signed by Moorcock on the title page. Very good with foxing to boards and toning to page block in near fine jacket with some foxing to underside and flaps, toning to rear panel, otherwise very little wear. A sharp copy. Signed, first UK edition which collects three works previously published in New Worlds Quarterly: "Pale Roses," "White Stars," and "Ancient Shadows." This collection was also published in the U.S. by Harper & Row, the UK edition being relatively uncommon, and more so signed.
