Westminster: Archibald Constable & Co., 1899. The Dublin-born musician and novelist (1797-1868) first published this title in 1831; it is a rare book today. This is a Very Good (Minus) copy of a First Edition Thus, "Edited with Introduction and Notes by D.J. O'Donoghue," itself uncommon. Green paper-covered boards, decoratively stamped, with a red cloth spine titled in gilt. Clean text; xxvi, 240 pages; there is an eight-page catalog in the rear. The top-edge is gilt. Both gutters have cracked, with webbing exposed, but are holding well. The corners are bumped, with rubbing to the margins, and there is staining evident on both front and rear covers. . First Thus. Hard Cover. Very Good (Minus)/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
