Book in very good condition, tight and clean, some wear to spine ends and a couple scratches to boards. Contents are pristine. Five records in a box seem to be generally in good condition although not tested - actually, I would just get the pieces on CD, they are easy to find, and you can have the whole piece - Bernstein complains in the book about having to abridge some of the music to fit a 7 inch LP. The box itself is in very good condition, a little wear to corners, one corner separating, but generally clean, glossy, intact. Slipcase to hold box and book not present. Absolutely wonderful teaching resource for musical education - to be able to give a child (and yourself!) the experience of attending one of Bernstein's famous Young People's Concerts. Includes 8 programs exploring the meaning of music, classical music, humor in music, American music, folk music in the concert hall, Impressionistic music, orchestration, and the symphonic form. .
