Tokyo, JPN: The Inter-Nation Company, 1954 The Inter-Nation Company, Tokyo, JPN. 1954. Hardcover. First Edition. Book is tight, square, and unmarked. Book Condition: Near Fine; scant wear to head, tail, and tips. DJ: Very Good; chipping at head; closed tear at spine front edge; slight suntanning to spine. Orange cloth boards and spine with bright black lettering on the spine and front board. 211 pp 12mo. Anyone who likes moving, colorful tales of the wilderness, the wide open spaces, and the wild scramble for wealth on the last American frontier will enjoy these thirteen stories. The prime motive of the author of these stories was to entertain his readers but he also wanted to justify taking America away from the Indians, not granting indemnities to Indian descendants for injustices, to prove that Oklahoma needed a change, and to show that in this new state (OK) the spirit of individualism had waned and that paternalism had gone too far. This book hopes to show young Americans that the struggles and sacrifices of their ancestors was necessary for their freedoms and opportunities. A clean very presentable copy.
