With portrait frontispiece. A collection of writings from Brooke's year-long expedition of North America. Includes preface from Henry James noting that, had he survived the war, Brooke could have been one of England's greatest writers. This essay was James' last work before his death. Written by Rupert Brooke, an English poet known for his idealistic war sonnets during the First World War. In the original blue cloth binding. Externally, sound with light bumping to the extremities. Fading of the cloth and the odd small mark to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with scattered spotting to the endpapers only. Good
