Folio. 2 volumes. pp, [frontis] [xi] xii 400 [i] xii 733., Contemporary gilt bordered full calf, with 6 gilt decorated compartments on spine, raised bands and red morocco title labels. Engraved frontis depicts Sir Philip Sydney reclining next to a tree. "The whole containing the ancient state of Ireland; with characters and private memoirs. Also the ancient government of the principality of Wales the wars between the Spaniards, and thge states general of the Netherlands....The intriegues of the several courts of Queen Elizabeth, King James, King Charles the First.......etc etc etc" Boards rubbed, as is the spine of vol 1. Cracing to hinges, but strong and unaffected. Spine of vol 2 slightly cracked, but not weakened, some worming with loss to boards, but this very limited in extent. Sporadic light foxing, minor tanning to the text, ink shelf label at foot of spine one Vol 2, Vol 1 has had similar label removed with subsequent loss. This is a heavy set and may require additional postage if being shipped outside of Europe. . Very Good. Full Calf. First Edition. 1746.

Please select our Priority service if you'd like UPS / Fedex express servies, but even our Standard option is with UPS until Royal Mail sort themselves out.

Prices are in sterling, and are subject to availability. We can accept bank transfers in Sterling, Euros, US and AUS dollars. We ship priority shipping as standard, and pack our books well. Courier services available. We are also able to offer same day delivery within London postcodes for some orders - ask for a quote. Valuable items will be sent via registered airmail or one of the courier services. Large orders can be sent via consolidation, which reduces the cost per book. In the unlikely event of an incorrect description, a full refund will be provided, but please e-mail/telephone first, and within seven days of receipt of the book. We are happy to comply to the EU's rules on distance selling. All books are published in London and 8vo unless stated, and remain my property until paid for in full.
