About the author

Ivan Bunin (1870-1953) was a poet and novelist who won the Nobel Prize in literature in 1933. He is the author of The Life of Arseniev: Youth and Cursed Days: A Diary of the Revolution, among other books.

Thomas Gaiton Marullo is the author of If You See the Buddha: Studies in the Fiction of Ivan Bunin and has translated and edited numerous other works by and about Bunin.
