Comprehensive study of the career of Longpre (1855-1911), a French-born California Impressionist who was active in the early 20th-century Los Angeles art community. He was well known (and commercially very successful) for his popular watercolors, chromolithogaphs, and illustrations of flowers and floral arrangements.
