Penna. Vol....," with ink signature of Col. J. F. Hartranft, bookplate inside front cover "Presented by the Army Committee...," early owner's name in pencil on front end page, light foxing on all pages, very light cover soil, minimal wear, no date, probably circa 1865, generally a nice clean copy, a military life presented from a Protestant Christian point of view.. Not Stated. Cloth. Very Good/None Issued. 16mo - over 5¾" - 6¾" tall.

A small clean well-lighted store established in 1975 in Selinsgrove Pennsylvania, DJ Ernst-Books offers a diverse interesting stock of out-of-print, used, and antiquarian books. There is limited space and therefore quality is stressed over quantity. I treat each customer as an important person. My book shop is open 6 days a week, and is located in the scenic Susquehanna River Valley. Susquehanna University, with their expanding writing program, is located in Selinsgrove. Thus, several of my customers are writers or aspiring writers.
