Burgess was noted for his advocacy for nature conservation, which is beautifully showcased in his sensitive portrayal of LIGHTFOOT THE DEER. 8'' x 5.25''. Original blue cloth binding with large color pictorial paper paste-on. Illustrated with color frontispiece and seven full-page color plates. 206, [2] pages. Binding with a bit of bumping to corners and spine ends, a touch of rubbing to front; mild sunning to spine. Textblock with spot of soil to fore-edge, occasional foxing to margins of leaves. Sharp.
