New York: Farrar, Straus and Company, 1950. Hardcover. Very Good +/No Dust Jacket. Inscribed by the author on the front endpaper "To Charles P. Curtis/with many forbodings/from Edmund Wilson" and dated Aug. 1, 1950. Charles P. Curtis was a notable Boston attorney and author of several books one being The Oppenheimer Case. Blue cloth with gilt titles on spine, clean unmarked copy showing only light use, very nice. Not a first but an early printing.
