New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1890. First trade edition, preceded by an edition privately printed for subscriber's in 1889. Small octavo, slate blue cloth, pp. xi, 202. Contains four poems that were not present in the subscriber's edition of 1889. Published in an edition of 1,000 copies. Contains the first appearance of "Little Boy Blue". This copy bears gilt lettering in the lower right corner of the upper board stating that the book has been "Presented by the Phoenix Insurance Co. of Hartford Conn". Page edges darkened, spine is a bit dull, slightly frayed at crown and corners tips, else about very good. BAL 5743.
