A fabulous 1" bookstore label (Blackwell's, Oxford UK) on front paste-down. Top edge gilt, but dulled. Light scattered foxing - more so to pre-lims. Verso of frontispiece has erased pencil. Title is listed in Bleiler's "Checklist of Fantastic Literature", page 154, of 1948 edition. "A Crystal Age' was another fantasy title by author. Author was a naturalist and ornithologist. Born in Argentina. FIRST EDITION. Protected in a mylar slip.
