To Live with Hope, to Die with Dignity: Spiritual Resistance in the Ghettos and Camps Hardcover - 1997

by Rudavsky, Joseph

  • Hardcover

This inspiring volume documents the spiritual life of Jews during the Holocaust. Spiritual resistance was expressed on an organized communal level, maintained to thwart the Nazi intention of dehumanizing their Jewish victims. In exploring the dimension of "Kiddush Hahayyim", the Jewish sanctification of life, Rabbi Rudavsky seeks to shed light on this overlooked aspect of the Holocaust.
