garden city, n.y.: doubleday, doran & co., 1943. Reprint. Hardcover. Used - Very Good/Good. 1943 reprint. Jacket has a few chips and small tears, but is overall in nice condition. Unclipped. Printed during World War II, with the logo stating it was printed under wartime conditions. Sunning on the spine of the jacket. Red cloth covered boards with black illustration and silver text block on the spine with black text. Previous owner's name and date of 1944 on front endpage. No date of publication, but has the code 4322-43 on the front flap of the jacket. Book is in wonderful contion, with light tanning from the jacket on the endpages. Red dye on the top edge. The stories of archy, the cockroach, and mehitabel the cat. Archy types in all lower case because he can't push the caps key on the typewriter. The stories originally appeared in the New York Sun. This includes all of the articles which were originally printed in three different volumes.
