Lodz, Poland, 1940. Ephemera. Near Fine. A Fine, beautifully preserved pair of World War II bank notes for 50 pfennig and 1 mark, May 15th, 1940, for the Jewish neighborhood of Litzmannstadt (Lodz), Poland, during the Nazi occupation. Each bears Menorah and Star of David devices, and each is uncirculated. Crisp, lovely and deeply moving.
