Bound in green cloth with applique cover.White lettering partially rubbed n front cover. Spine lettering has all the white removed. Front hinge cracked to the mull. The three page before the title page.( front free endpaper, half title page, and back of the glossy frontis, shows damp stain at edges. 7 pages of ads in rear. A reading copy (W.O. Stoddard Jr. is the son of William Osborn Stoddard who acted as one of Lincoln's secretaries during the Civil War)
