Longmans, Green and Co., 1889. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1889. Popular Edition. 921 pages. No dust jacket. Blue cloth covered boards with blind stamped half bound style design and gilt. Marbled end papers and text-block edges. Pages are moderately tanned and foxed throughout, heavier at end-papers, paste-downs and text-block edges. Front free end-paper torn from sticker removal. Some minor pencil marks to reverse of front free end paper. Cracking to gutters resulting in a shaky binding. Boards have mild edge-wear with slight rubbing to surfaces. Mild crushing to spine ends. Book has a slight forward lean. Gilt lettering is still quite bright and clear. Top edge of text block is dust marked.
