New York: Harper & Brothers 1884. Hardcover. First edition. Bleiler [1978 Checklist, page 113 but citing an 1885 Harper edition as the first]. Gray pictorial cloth with gold gilt lettering/partial background, 173 pages plus 8 pages of ads at the rear. A uncommon lost race novel apparently not cited in Locke, Reginald or Tuck, and with the wrong edition cited in Bleiler. Rear hinge cracked, frontispiece and two other [out of a total of eleven illustrations] missing, See photos. clphE
