New Haven: Yale University Press, 1967. xii, 72 pp. 21 x 13.5 cm. Mottled green paper covered boards with silver titling to spine, in a white dustjacket with illustration and titling in black. Volume 62 in the Yale Series of Younger Poets. Some light toning to spine of jacket with some light toning to extremities of panels. Some very shallow, minimal silverfish damage to spine and fore edge side of front panel of jacket. Jacket has not been price clipped and is protected in a mylar cover. Covers, spine, and interior of book are in exceptional condition. Binding firm. An excellent copy of James Tate's first book, which was published while he was still a student at the University of Ohio. . First Edition. Hard Cover. Near Fine/Very Good.
