About the author

Melody Cheng is the co-host & co-founder of the podcast, AsianBossGirl, a podcast-turned small media company. She is a proud Taiwanese-American originally from the Bay Area and her passion lies in storytelling and connecting with people through digital media, especially within the API community. Prior to working at AsianBossGirl, Melody had a career working in social media marketing and studio production for photography. When she's not working on the podcast, you can find her binge-watching Korean dramas or, as a self-proclaimed "Comfort Cook," in the kitchen trying out her mom's recipes.

Helen Wu-Wang is a Boston-native podcast host, entrepreneur, and digital content creator. Prior to founding the podcast, AsianBossGirl, with two of her best friends, Helen worked at one of the Big 4 accounting firms as a Business Valuation Manager. Diversity in representation is fundamental to the values she believes in, and with ABG, her passion and purpose align as she seeks to empower the next generation of API leaders. She is the proud daughter of Chinese immigrants and lives in Los Angeles with her husband and the new love of their lives, a little baby boy.

Janet Wang is a co-founder and co-host of AsianBossGirl, a podcast-turned small media company. She is a Chinese-American SoCal native who has spent time in San Francisco, New York, Miami, and Kenya, before settling back into Los Angeles. Prior to ABG, she worked in tech as a UX designer. Janet is also a wellness content creator focused on meditation, yoga, plant-based eating and living, health and self-improvement, and contemporary art.

Eunice Chen is an Asian-American artist based in New York City. After a 10-year career in education, she returned to her childhood love of telling stories through art. Her colorful, story-driven illustrations invite others to experience and appreciate different worlds and cultures. She lives in New York City with her husband, son, and corgi.

Melody Cheng, Janet Wang, and Helen Wu are the co-creators of AsianBossGirl, a podcast for the modern day Asian American woman. AsianBossGirl was founded to share their experiences as 9-to-5 professional working women, balancing careers, social lives, cultural identities, and personal development while living in the city of Los Angeles. AsianBossGirl is now a media company that they run full time, and Lucky Cat is their first children's book.
