Firsthand accounts, illustrated with the Kurelek's (1927 - 1977) paintings, of the life, labor, and meager entertainments of the lumberjack in bygone Canada. Near fine condition with a non-author inscription on front page. True first edition. Taupe cloth boards with black lettering on spine and recessed title on face. The clean dust jacket has minor edge wear and 2 very short tears at back upper edge.
