Patricio Pron es autor de seis libros de relatos, entre los que se encuentran Lo que est y no se usa nos fulminar (2018), Trayndolo todo de regreso a casa. Relatos 1990-2010 (2011) y La vida interior de las plantas de interior (2013), as como de de siete novelas, entre ellas, El comienzo de la primavera (2008), El espritu de mis padres sigue subiendo en la lluvia (2011), Nosotros caminamos en sueos (2014) y No derrames tus lgrimas por nadie que viva en estas calles (2016); tambin de la novela para nios Caminando bajo el mar, colgando del amplio cielo (2017) y del ensayo El libro tachado: Prcticas de la negacin y del silencio en la crisis de la literatura (2014). Entre otros premios, ha obtenido el Juan Rulfo (2004), el Jan (2008) y el Clamo Extraordinario por el conjunto de su obra (2016), su trabajo ha sido antologado de forma regular y traducido a diez idiomas. En 2010, la revista inglesa Granta lo escogi como uno de los veintids mejores escritores jvenes en espaol del momento. Pron es doctor en Filologa Romnica por la Universidad Georg-August de Gttingen (Alemania) y vive en Madrid.

ENGLISH BIOGRAPHY

Patricio Pron (1975, Argentina) is the author of six story collections, among them are Lo que est y no se usa nos fulminar / What Is There and Not Used, Will Be Our Downfall (2018), Trayndolo todo de regreso a casa. Relatos 1990-2010 / Bringing Everything Back Home. Short Stories 1990-2010 (2011) and La vida interior de las plantas de interior / The Internal Lives of House Plants (2013); seven previous novels, among them are El comienzo de la primavera / The Start of Spring (2008), El espritu de mis padres sigue subiendo en la lluvia / My Fathers' Ghost is Climbing in the Rain (2011), Nosotros caminamos en sueos / In Dreams We Walk (2014) and No derrames tus lgrimas por nadie que viva en estas calles / Don't Shed a Tear for Anyone Who Lives in These Streets (2016); and has written various children's books. He has received numerous awards, including the 2004 Juan Rulfo Short Story Prize, the 2008 Jan Novel Award, and in 2016 the Clamo Extraordinario for his work as a whole. His stories have continuously been included in anthologies and have been translated into ten languages; and in 2010 he was named one of the best young Spanish-language novelists by the English literary magazine Granta. Born and raised in Rosario, Argentina, Pron has a PhD in literature from the Georg-August de Gttingen University in Germany, and lives in Madrid.
