A set of two works by noted English writer Edward Phillips Oppenheim (1866-1946). Oppenheim was a prolific writer who often wrote about glamour, political and international intrigue, and action and adventure. He was on the cover of Time magazine in 1927.Included in this set are: Madame, published by Hodder and Stoughton in 1925. Containing the ink signature of a previous owner to the front free-endpaper, dated 1927. The Channay Syndicate, published by Hodder and Stoughton in 1927. Containing a collection of ten short stories, including 'Gilbert Channay Takes The Air', 'Mark Levy Pays', 'Lord Isham's Gamble' and more.Uniformly bound in the publisher's original cloth binding. Uniformly bound in the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, sound, with some light shelf wear and bumping to the head and tail of the spines and extremities, especially to 'Madame'. Previous owner's ink signature to the front free-endpaper of 'Madame'. Internally, firmly bound. Scattered spots to the first and last few pages and the fore-edges of each volume, otherwise pages are generally bright and clean. Good
