Collated, complete.In this instalment of Oxenham's popular series, the reader is introduced to the cousins of the recurring character Maidlin.Oxenham's series compromised thirty-eight titles, which were published between 1914 and 1959.With the inscription of J. Coast, October 1966 to the front free endpaper.Oxenham, alongside Elinor Brent-Dyer and Dorita Fairlie Bruce, was amongst the 'Big Three' women authors of children's books that pioneered the popular 'school-girl' genre. In the publisher's original cloth binding. Light fading to back strip, with minor bumps to spine tail. Small mark towards the back strip head. Boards bright. Inscription to front free endpaper. Internally, binding lightly strained throughout. Pages bright and generally clean, with the odd handling mark. Very Good
