Description:
London: Country Life, 1929. 107 pp, 4to (11 3/4" H). B&w and monotone illustrations throughout. "(A) book of foxhunting ways - and means. The ways are as fully discussed as the means - the ways in which things should be done, and other ways in which things are (or are not) done. Through all the book the threads of the hunting theme, grave and gay, are gathered together to weave a foxhunting whole for young, and not so young, for newcomer and expert." Pages browning lightly at edges, book lightly cracked at spine in a few place, but pages are not loose and the book is clean and sound overall. Edges of boards/spine lightly browned, light edgewear. Dust jacket is quite worn, with large chips (not affecting text), price clipped, closed tears, creases and browning, water stain on spine - now protected in removable mylar sleeve.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good-/Poor. Illus. by Charles Simpson..
