Albany, NY: Secretary of State, New York, 1868. There are 41 pages about canals. Attractive, though slightly worn red leather book with bright gilt text and elaborate gold design along spine. Frayed bottom of spine. Wear around edges. Bumped and worn corners. Wear at top of spine. Some foxing inside covers and on end papers. Diagrams of Assembly and 1868 Senate are on fold-outs in front of the book (small tear along a fold but still nicely intact). 423 pp.. Cloth. Good/No Dust Jacket. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.

Albany, New York: Weed, Parsons and Company, Printers, 1869 Internally Very Good but red leather cover, though present, has totally detached from the book block. Pages remain sewn together though firs leaves are bit loose. Light marignal dampstains to a few leaves, overall pages are clean and crisp. There is a stamping on first blank leaf reads "Compliments of H. Whitmarsh, 1869 Member of Assembly". Owners name and date is penned on front pasted endpaper. Red leather cover with blind tooling to boards, gilt lettering and decoration on spine is age-darkened and moderately rubbed and worn. Gilt lettering on front, likely the name of first owner, reads "M.T. Tallman." 4 x 6-1/2"; lxi + 451 pages. Leather. Good/No Jacket. 12mo.

Includes two folding maps: One of the House of Representatives and another for the Senate chambers. This was to be used by newly elected State representatives so that they knew layout of the chambers and so that they knew the rules of the governing bodies. Overall in GOOD condition.
