Top edge gilt, 31 mounted heliotypes (one is a folding panorama) with tissue guards. Not only is this an album of Paris scenery, but it is also a wonderful study of the vintage automobiles (more than half of the gravures have automobiles and / or traffic scenes) of the period. Each volume contains 12 engraved plates - so 24 in total. The wide pages are each divided in 4 columns, and pagination is by column, rather than page. Each volume contains 12 issues, each containing 12 pages and a plate. These are not dated, but have the title to the top of the first (4) pages. So each volume has 144 pages (despite a pagination of 576.) Some darkening / spotted foxing to the pages, but overall in very respectable condition. 250 x 180 mm (9¾ x 7 inches). Deux tomes.
