***** Self Published *****. FR/NO DUSTJACKET. 1854. Leather. Feint notes in pencil and ink lists many different apples, pears, other fruits, flowers and trees. There is a map of the nursery with numbers indicating plantings. 1845-1854 on 24 leaves [several are loose] with a leather cover. 6 1/2 X 4 3/4 inches. Enclosed is a receipt signed by Ca. Taintor and a later 1875 letter from Mrs. S. B. Taintor, Buffalo to her son. The 4 page letter only refers to current family events. Charles Tainter, near Buffalo, produced the following apples at the Pomological Meeting in Buffalo: 1. Pownel Spenzenburgh; 2. Fall Pipin; and 3. Rhode Island Greening.
