Stories of the American scene by Edward Newhouse, 1911-2002, a prolific fiction writer in the years before and after World War II. Most of these stories first appeared in The New Yorker. Signed in Westport, NY, where his wife Dorothy DeLay, a Juilliard violin instructor, was associated with the Meadowmount School of Music. 384 pages. 8.5 x 5.75 inches. VG/VG with moderate wear, one small closed to the dust jacket. Not price-clipped. Protected by a new clear archival cover. Sound binding. Some age-toning, but text clean and unmarked. Uncommon signed.
