Eight full-page illustrations (including frontispiece). An historical novel based on true events during the Maori wars in New Zealand during the 1870s, with a focus on the fanatical Hau-Hau Maoris who massacred white settlers. (32-page Scribner & Welford catalogue at rear, including many Henty books.).
