Description

Paris: Boulanger & Legrand, 1864. Hardcover. Unpaginated. Contemporary quarter calf over marbled boards, pink endpapers. Includes eight large handcolored maps: map of the world, ancient geography, Europe, Asia, Africa, America, Oceania, and France. All the maps are double-spread and measure 62 x 43 cm. A name is penned on the verso of each map. Covers show some wear and have an old repair to lower front corner tip. Stains to fore edge close to lower corner and to upper edge of one of the maps, some short closed tears to edges, small chip to one map. The map of France has an old tape mend to the verso. A good+ copy. ; Folio.
