VG-Fine for Age. 14.5 Cm x 21.5 Cm. xiii+145, 134 text ills inc.numerous maps, techniques of depicting land-form features, surveying instruments etc., 5 col.map plates, one a large unfolding map of Uganda in pocket to rear pastedown, small tipped in red advertisement for Forster Groom & Co. 'Military and Naval Publishers & Booksellers'. Ex Surrey County Council County Library with their plate to front pastedown, stamp and accession number lower t.p. and 'sold' stamp verso same, blank loan sheet verso rear endpaper, small sig. 'Mumford' front endpaper (Ian Mumford, academic cartography specialist). Despite the lib.provenance this is remarkably clean and fresh with no other obvious internal faults except some endpaper browning and clean, bright, minimally worn green cloth covers with bright gilt lettering and Royal Geog.Soc. logo centre front, quite faint small white lib.number lower spine. Extensive coverage of map-making techniques (inc.surveying) and various projections. Note: quoted shipping rates are calculated for 500-700 gram net weight, cost will be modified up or down as appropriate outside this range.
