Maria Chapdelaine is a romance novel written in 1913 by the French writer Louis Hémon, who was then residing in Quebec. This is a nice vintage copy on fine paper published in Paris but issued from "Imprimerie Nelson, Edimbourg, Ecosse" Illustrated throughout with vivid black and white drawings by Jean Routier, who also painted the delightful coloured frontispiece. 199p.Frontis. col. illus.
