Description

London and Bath: Darton & Co, Binns & Goodwin Book. Illus. by W.Dickes. Fair. Cloth. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. Second edition. No date, but c.1850. Scarlet cloth with titles in gilt on spine and gilt motif of shells and water-snails on the front cover. Condition: Fair to good, covers are generally soiled and shelfworn with bumping to spine and cover corners. A quarter inch of cloth at top of spine is split. Binding sound. Some notes in pencil on reverse of fep. Six coloured plates (Inc.frontispiece and vignette on title page) drawn by W.Dickes and six further b/w plates. A couple of the plates have watermarks to the top right hand corners, not affecting the text in any way. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
